The Double H Drag Strip opened (November 1963) as super stock and factory experimental racing was really beginning to explode, such racing was largely its focus for its three-year existence. The impetus for this site was a three-day super stock meet in 1965, with the Double H hosting 18 cars for the Sunday finale. We have photographs and a film clip from that great day of racing..
This site has other links to video of the track, then and now, plus pictures, newspaper stories and advertising. Also included will be two other North Georgia tracks from that era, Lloyd's Drag Strip in Blairsville, and Paradise Drag Strip in Calhoun. All of this information was previously at doublehdragstrip(dot)com from 2008-11, but technical problems forced this change of address and new site. Check back often to see what's new.
